Domestic Business Development Case Study

Challenge: 45-day turnaround on a project that evaluated the data network capabilities of the top cellular, paging and satellite service providers in support of a contemplated new service rollout in the US by a client company.

Solution: Time2Market jointly developed a streamlined and comprehensive approach to the project, and conducted research and due diligence on three prospective strategic partners for the client.  Megan's industry expertise was required to rapidly evaluate network coverage, systems and operational capabilities, as well as service contracting terms and parameters. Findings were presented in 30 days.

Result: The scope of findings exceeded the client's expectations. The team quickly delivered key insights for business planning, product/service development and partner contracting, and the client could immediately move forward with market entry.

Challenge: A senior vice president of business development needed resources to spearhead his company's entry into select European markets. He had no business development experts that could work all three new product and service initiatives across multiple countries. He needed an experienced director who could ensure the company was ready to launch these markets within a short timeframe.

Solution: Megan led and contributed to strategic initiative development and execution. She formulated and worked on business teams, with internal and external partners from multiple countries, to get projects initiated, approved, funded and implemented.  She effectively managed regulatory, legal, technology, financial and marketing issues, as well as cross-organizational resources, for project success at parent and subsidiary companies.

Result: Within 9 months, Megan had ensured that businesses were registered and licensed to operate in two countries and corresponding business and marketing plans were in place for approval.  In addition, key operational assets and resources had been secured for launch, and management training was underway to build internal business development expertise for additional market entrance.

Non-profit & Small Business Assistance Case Study

Challenge: To help secure competitive grant funding for a micro-lender reaching out to the New York small business community, post 9/11. To develop and implement the micro-lender's technical assistance program for New York small businesses, and evaluate and recommend small businesses eligible for its grant funding program.

Solution: Time2Market provided grant funding advisory services to the micro-lender, developed, marketed, and implemented a 3-module training course for small businesses, and performed due diligence and business evaluations for grant candidates.

Result: The training course series was launched and piloted in two months. It was extremely well received by NYC small business advocates and program participants. The micro-lender quickly received grant funding for a two-year technical assistance program and established its own grant funding program. Select small business course participants received grant funding for growth.
